The Experiment

I would just like to say, for the record, that I HATE Mondays. I realize that I am not alone in this statement, that it's cliche and all that, but I really think the PURE UNADULTERATED HATE I feel for this day far exceeds any kind of emotion that might be remotely healthy. Not only do I hate the feeling that encroaches upon me the minute my eyes open on this devil day, but I hate the people who have to remind me, as if I've forgotten, what day it is. There is something about that bubbly co-worker who likes to give you the little, "Whew! It's definitely a Monday! (wink, wink)" that makes my eyes turn to tiny slits, my lips tighten up like a prune, my forehead crease like a Klingon, and my blood pressure shoot through the roof. Considering I have been alive 1,262 Mondays so far, and I expect to see another maybe 5,000 or so, I have to face the fact that if I continue to makes this nasty facial expression with my current regularity I am going to have to contend with some truly freakish wrinkles as I get older. This is a nasty side effect of Mondays. Another problem with this contortion is that it may occassionally produce yet another comment from the 666 co-worker, "Ohhhh...Someone has a case of the Mon-day's.." Upon hearing this insight I can not help but suck my face in so severly that nothing is left but a tiny pin-prink in the middle of my face. Now that is just not cute at all.

Ok. So my blog is outdated. VERY outdated. There was obviously a time and a place when Jason Mraz was "cool" in my little world (according to my sidebar). I would like to state right now, for the record, that he's not really cool at all. In fact, when I see him now I think I've accidentally tuned into American Idol. Okay, well, now that I have clarified that I'm going to go back to watching my Law and Order. Hell yeah.

Oh my lord. I see I haven't blogged in over a month. And what a crazy month it has been! In one short month I have called the following locations 'home':

- A hotel in Eugene, Oregon
- A hotel in Sacramento, California
- A hotel in Long Beach, California
- A hotel in Point Loma, California
- AND FINALLY: A HOUSE IN SAN DIEGO, CA!

WE MADE IT!!!!!

Sean has been stationed on a new ship and myself, Sean and Mike have found a house (yes, finally, a HOUSE!) in lovely downtown San Diego. Is gorgeous here. Sure, we are in the flight path of the San Diego airport, but hey, we all grew up listening to fighter jets in good ol' Oak Harbor, so this is nothing. For our willingness to deal with that small inconvenience we get a house with views of the ocean and the city sky line, mere blocks from Balboa Park, the zoo, the ocean and a cute little district here called "Little Italy." We are very lucky indeed.
